That animosity and anxiety over AI is translating into interest in organizing—union reps and organizers say it’s been a major catalyst in starting conversations and fueling potential drives. This is, to many, the best option on the table for pushing back.
The good news is that workers are fighting back. Concerns over AI are forming bonds of solidarity between workers in an industry that has historically been precarious and unorganized. And it varies studio to studio—there’s a real and deep hatred for AI in a lot of quarters.
AI is already killing jobs in video games. My investigation for @Wired reveals that major studios are already using AI for concept art and asset generation, foisting AI trainings on games workers and that AI is playing a role in the mass layoffs that have roiled the field.
Holy shit that’s actually shocking. Confirming messaging a minor inappropriately but saying there wasn’t any real intent is almost verbatim what people used to say to Chris Hansen
@DrDisrespect Not surprised Dr's trying to say whatever he can to try and save face. I am surprised how many people are falling for his "I wasn't convicted, so I didn't do anything wrong" angle. Inappropriate convos with a minor is still disgusting, doesn't matter if they met up irl or not
@kommanderkarl@PastryKace@DrDisrespect Being lax to a guy saying "I had inappropriate conversations with a minor but I didn't get convicted so I'm fine" is already crazy, but doubling down on it to make sure people know that YOU didn't mis-speak is WILD. I had to double check to make sure this isn't a parody account
I have already received a lot of… no.. tons of information from everyone about this store before, but let me ask one question from a different angle this time.
Why do fights like this between waitstaff and customers happen so often in the restaurant?
I have never seen plates and chairs flying around like this, especially in Japan (and the composition is not customer vs. customer, but customer vs. waiter).
I don't think it is simply because it is “open 24 hours and there are many drunks”.
What kind of culture is this?
There's something you can't grasp just by taking over 70 business trips to the US.
I need to learn more about American society……
@darkstarastel @funnykanbaru@BuffGigas He regains a set amount of health per hit. Against any character other than Alisa (maybe Leroy?), he'll gain little bits, but since her chainsaws are technically like 6 hits each, he gets a lot
@Bucky_cm@PlayStation Most people motivated enough to make/change their review in the first place are probably motivated enough to change it again. If someone's too lazy to turn their review back to good, they were likely too lazy to go to the effort of making the negative one in the first place.
@JoJoesArt The image-changing thing is cool when done by a human, because there's intent; there's a purpose to where the artist wants your eyes to follow the transition, instead of constantly changing everything at once. Music video for The Fatalist by Dark Tranquility does it well imo
@VerenaLattanzi@JoJoesArt That's a really good way to put it. The whole image just seems to morph all at once, in random ways. A trippy thing like this could work, but you have to have direction, a clear start and end to transitions, and individual changes to see and focus on.
@ValorINTEL I don't see people talking about the 'drop' correctly. You can probably still kill the defender if they drop to shoot back. However, good players aren't going to drop and fight, they're going to drop immediately into reactor, double box, or hell. They get info on the way down too
@I_Am_Oatmeal@dawnmoer It's not about them dropping down and taking the gunfight. It's about them dropping down and almost immediately getting behind reactor, double box, or into hell. After which they have a lot more site control than if they were stuck heaven
