The staying power of your marriage is not your age. It is the kindness and maturity of your partner, and yourself. There are fools at 40, and marriage is proof of it. Sometimes, and this is important, you may be the problem all along, but have tricked yourself into refusing to face the mirror, choosing instead to believe the fiction of your cohabitation with a monster.
