“If You’re From The South Eastern Part Of Nigeria, This Conversation Is About You And How The Money Meant For Our States Is Being Used. Billions Are Sent Every Month To Each State, And Over The Last 3 Years, Over ₦2.6 Trillion Was From The FG To The South East Alone. So Why Are We Still Complaining About Basic Things Like Good Roads, Hospitals, Infrastructure Development, Schools, Jobs, And Other Essential Services As Though No Money Ever Entered The States? What Are Your Governors Doing With Their Allocations?.” ~ Lawyer Belinda Uju.
The dangerous thing about self sacrifice is that it feels noble while it happening, it feels like that's what a real man does. But there is a version of sacrifice that isn't love at all, it's the believe that you are not enough without it. That when you stop they might leave you.
Anybody that wants to control you, will first make you emotional. And when you become emotional, you lose your center, your contiousness, you come out from the ground of your inner being where you know what's right. Don't let anyone confuse you.
Nobody is really ready to hear this but sometimes it's really your fault. You're suffering that because you chose it. You were the one who put yourself in that situation. You were responsible for those consequences because you did that to yourself. You have to take accountability sometimes rather than blaming it to other people or on the situation itself. You did that to you so get yourself out from there.
It took me years to realise that my way of loving is silent. I am a silent lover. For the people I love, I want to see them succeed. I want to look at them and watch them grow and evolve, with a smile on their lips. I look at their smiles, their career struggles and growth, their kindness and actions, and I silently cheer them on. Maybe they can't always see it, and maybe I'm the one who doesn't always express my feelings. But the truth is, I am always rooting for the people I love. It's beautiful to always be present for them, even at times when they don't realise it. It makes me happy.
Some people do not miss you, they miss the version of you that makes their behaviour easier to avoid. Sometimes the peace you were protecting was never peace, it's your silence that is being mistaken for harmony.
not set by an external agent, but by the very structure of conscious experience. Freedom lies not in escaping perception, but in seeing the trap clearly enough to stop tightening it around yourself.
The trap is the burden of perception means that our way of seeing is also our way of being limited. The weight of filtering reality, the false certainty it breeds, the emotional cost of awareness, and the inescapability of bias together constitute a trap—
at a stage in my life where peace is more important than anyone's presence. if it isn't flowing i'm not going to force it until it does, if it isn't giving me clarity i'm not going to deceive myself to clear up smoke, accepting what is by what i'm shown and how the energy feels.
I'm grown enough to admit that due to the things I was put through in life, I'm a hard person to deal with sometimes. I overthink, worry, and can be hard to understand. I'm beyond territorial, and require a lot of patience. But I also know that I can love like no other. I can give you the world as mine is falling apart. I'm loyal and my heart is pure. I don't give up on people until I have no choice but to.
