🚨 MASTERCARD'S NEW "VENMO-LIKE" CRYPTO PAYMENT SYSTEM
Mastercard has launched the Mastercard Crypto Credential, now operational with its first P2P pilot transactions.
For the average user, this means sending crypto will be as simple as using an email address, making it more accessible and secure.
This system lets users send and receive cryptocurrency using easy-to-remember aliases instead of complicated blockchain addresses.

@aaronbennett Hi Aaron, I've been out of the loop for the last couple of weeks. Is there any update on PayPal claim codes? (Not working) and moving to say Coinbase..etc
@SimonDixonTwitt How about receiving an alternative claim code? PayPal says my account/KYC is good to go. And let me add that I received two claim codes (BTC/ETH), one of which worked the other does not. I don't need a check, I need a code that works. Also, I never received an email from Ionic
#Celsius Creditors.
I took most of the major issues creditors are posting about & took them to the plan administrator in case they got lost in the flurry of great letters to the judge.
Ferraro mentioned they will address them all on the docket today.
Doc. 4623 was filed 13 March 2024 @ 23:07 (ET)
Below is a summary. Please share with other creditors having these issues.
Title: Post-Effective Date Debtors' Second Update on Distributions
1General troubleshooting Tips: Doc 4623 contains tips for creditors having trouble receiving distributions via #Coinbase, #Paypal/#Venmo e.g. make sure your KYC procedure is complete and check all your details are entered correctly, etc (check the doc for more tips). The distributors will continue trying to complete your distribution for 1 year only. If Coinbase or PayPal/Venmo ultimately cannot distribute crypto to you, you will receive cash (there is no alternative crypto distributor).
2Dollar cash distribution: (i) if you were originally due to receive cash, then you will receive your cash distribution based on 16 January prices. You should already have received notification from Stretto if you are in this category. (ii) If you were originally due to receive crypto but because of distribution difficulties you will ultimately receive cash, then the crypto set aside for you will be sold as close as possible to the date of the cash distribution, so your distribution will reflect market prices as closely as possible. You have not yet received notification if this applies to you, but you should receive such notification in the coming weeks.
3Corporate creditors: servicing corporate creditors is complex, time-consuming and costly. The Debtors therefore only made commercial arrangements for the top 100 corporate creditors as agreed with Coinbase. There are no further slots available. All other corporate creditors will receive cash even if you already have a Coinbase Prime account. All corporate creditors have already been notified of their distribution category.
4Mistaken convenience class elections: As per the Debors' motion (doc 4372), claims above $9,334 will automatically be corrected; claims below $9,333 and above $6,045 require your affirmative decision to be corrected. This motion has to be approved by the court and will be heard on 20 March 2024.
5Loan Refinancing: Creditors who elected to refinance, were required to select a lender by 15 March 2024. That deadline has now been extended to 31 March 2024. Refinancing transactions will only be executed after that date.
6Recalculation of Class Claim Settlement amounts for borrowers (who did not opt out): The additional 5% was erroneously applied to the borrowers' Post Set Off claim when it should have been applied to the borrowers' Deposit Claim. This means that an additional amount needs to be distributed to the affected borrowers in the next wave of distributions.
7Creditors who accessed Celsius via Partner accounts: These have more complex KYC requirements and the Debtors are still working through these.
8Creditors with previously suspended accounts: The Debtors are working through these to try to enable distributions.
9#MiningCo Shares: The Debtors understand that #Odessey Transfer and Trust has now completed email notifications to eligible creditors.
10Phishing attempts: These continue - the Debtors warn that they will never contact you by telephone call, social media or text message to request account information or other personal information.
