Bank Negara will phase out proprietary QR payment networks in stages, with full compliance required by 30 June 2028 under the Interoperable Fund Transfer Framework.
The framework requires all QR payments to run on interoperable systems such as DuitNow QR, effectively ending closed-loop QR ecosystems.

A reminder from The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson:
โHappiness comes from solving problems. The keyword here is "solving." If you're avoiding your problems or feel like you don't have any problems, then you're going to make yourself miserable. If you feel like you have problems that you can't solve, you will likewise make yourself miserable. The secret sauce is in the solving of the problems, not in not having problems in the first place. To be happy we need something to solve. Happiness is therefore a form of action; it's an activity.โ
Data centres are projected to account for 31% of electricity consumption in Peninsular Malaysia by 2035, up from 7% this year, with electricity use rising to 73,274 GWh.
To meet rising demand, Putrajaya is extending the operation of existing thermal power plants and adding new gas-fired generation capacity, PETRA Minister Fadillah Yusof said.

one thing i find particularly interesting (but not surprising) about this exposรฉ is how many of the authors stated they oppose genAI
some folks espouse anti-AI beliefs as a form of social camouflage, but others are deep in denial
i yapped about this phenomenon back in january
There's a reason you have to force yourself to train, study, work, or get up early, and someone else just does it. It's not that they have more discipline than you, and it's not willpower. The real reason is something else, and it's the part you never think to look at.
You're built in layers, from the outside in:
โ what's around you
โ what you do
โ what you can do
โ what you believe
โ who you are
When you try to change, you go at the "what you do" layer. New routine, new alarm, new gym plan. But underneath that, the layer that decides who you are is still telling you "I'm lazy," or "I never stick to anything,". And when those two layers don't match, the bottom one wins. Not the alarm, not the discipline. What you believe about yourself beats whatever you're trying to force, and it drags you back to where you started.
The person who does it easily isn't fighting themselves every day. They don't hype themselves up, they don't watch a motivational video first, they're not forcing anything. They're just acting like who they already believe they are. Someone who trains, someone who works, someone who doesn't quit. There's nothing to fight, because they're only being themselves.
And that's the part you can use. When what you do comes from who you are, there's nothing to push against. You don't need willpower to shower or to make your coffee, because that's just part of being you. They did the same thing with the training and the early mornings, they made it part of who they are, until it stopped being a fight.
This comes from a concept in NLP called Logical Levels, created by Robert Dilts. The struggle you feel forcing yourself is what it feels like to go against who you are. The ease the other person has is what it feels like to go with it.
turns out, reading a lot, exercising, loving people without expecting anything back, protecting your alone time, focusing only on improving yourself, and sometimes staying out late with friends who make you laugh until it hurts is a pretty good way to live.
Child sexual offences committed overseas by Malaysians or residents can now be prosecuted in Malaysia, following the passing of the Sexual Offences Against Children Bill 2026 today.
The amendment extends Malaysia's extraterritorial jurisdiction, allowing such offences to treated as if they were committed domestically.

Someone who tells you they prefer the stress and headache of Klang/Shah Alam traffic because it's marginally faster than taking LRT 3 is either ignorant, stupid, or both
