In 2012, Sheba Rawson-Ybarra challenged fellow Portland locals to purchase 100 shares to save Real Oviedo from going under. When the goal was met, she got the club's crest tattooed on her.
Today, Oviedo play their first home LaLiga fixture in 24 years.
Rawson-Ybarra talks about what the moment means to her 💙

Good morning, Cascadian oviedistas! Today has the boys at Elche at noon. Big match for both teams: a win for us puts us in sole possession of 2nd place, while Elche is looking to climb into playoff position w/a victory. No ESPN+ but you can listen here: https://t.co/e5kz3saCXy
Our motto, Villa piscandi delenda est (the fishing village must be destroyed), is an homage to Cato the Elder, the Roman senator who ended every speech with "Carthago delenda est," or "Carthage must be destroyed." Portland & Oviedo both hate a fishing village to the north. 😏
