Marco's beak moves languidly. The morning sun makes for the ideal time to preen. Even if his feathers are strange and half-intangible. The ษดแดแดแด to do it driving him silently up a wall.
Summer nights are ideal for enjoying the weather. The baking sun has long hidden away beyond the horizon. Marco takes the time to doze and sleepily watch the stars.
but I'm also not your doctor and I have a sinking feeling if I tried to voice that he'd challenge me to a drinking contest."
Marco pauses.
"He'd lose, yoi, but still..."
Marco settles in. A loaf of bird perched there on the Red Force's railing.
"Of course, yoi," The phoenix hums back. "Despite the flaws, people shouldn't be changed. Not usually at least. I would say get Shanks down from constant inebriation at every party for his health, yoi, >>
3. Held grudges depend on the transgression. Marco is ancient and eternal. The longest grudge he ever held lasted over 300 years before forgetting why he'd been angry after the one who slighted him had long passed on. Marco generally will hold grudges till placated then moves on.
2. Being touched is a comfort to Marco. He will perch on people if allowed and is fond of preening and being pet when in phoenix form. If he does not want to be touched he can escape with ease but is more a tactile creature in general.
Marco's average size like this could carry several people if he so chose, so it shouldn't be any surprise that it might be a bit awkward holding a bird the size of the man he took shape of.
...or was it the other way around?
"Yeah, yoi. Like you lighting the deck on fire." >>
"Heh... sorry I'm a lot smaller than Pops... but you're right about us doing well together. I always thought our flames burned nicely with each other."
His other arm comes up now to lightly wrap around Marco, holding him rather gently. Those feathers, so very soft.
The passing fingers lull Marco to relax. Being pet was never something he found as an affront. He was too old to remember if he was man or bird first.
"Oyaji would be a better target, yoi, if only because I fit easier in his arms. But beings of fire like us do well together."
Shaking his head slightly, a rather gentle laugh leaves him as his hand continues to run gently over the soft feathers.
"You sure about that? Because you shifted over here to loaf on me pretty quickly. Not that I mind... I've missed your company, ya know."
A beak does not do well to convey emotions but Marco's huff is laced in amusement, "It's fine, yoi. My feathers do have insulation. I wouldn't freeze but company is welcome."
Feathers that are silky smooth to the touch and powder soft in Marco's fluffy down under the flight.
Sitting there calmly as Marco moved to curl in his lap, Ace smiles softly and places a hand on the other's back.
"Has it...? I'm sorry I wasn't here sooner to keep you warm then..."
An eye peeks open from where Marco has buried his beak under a wing. Speak of the devil. Or some saying people used.
Ace's presence enough to prompt Marco's movement. Talons kept curled to not harm as he loafs in Ace's lap with a full feathered shiver.
"'S gotten cold, yoi."
Marco cannot stop the sigh that escapes him when he finally sits up straight. There's a popping of his spine and an uncomfortable rush of lightheadedness that follows, the price of spending all day hunched over at a table writing.
Though eternal flames are quick to quench pain.
