To anyone who is confused about what @noobde said about MK1 story not being a continuation of MK11 story is true.... MK11/Aftermath story concluded when Liu created a new timeline/universe.... It's in that new timeline/universe that MK1 takes place.... its a whole new story.
@kiwitalkz You do know this also affects Sony with the PS6 right? Hell I heard rumors that itll be delayed till 2029 for the prices to go down. Also I doubt the Switch 2 could run GTA 6 well enough for Rockstar to release it. Its gonna be a very CPU demanding game.
@Senninsage@ViolentRaven1 theres already a rumor that SOny might delay the PS6 till 2029... So I do think MS should just hold off. Ironically MS is also one of the reasons why Ram and SSDs are high cause of their AI shit lol.
@Senninsage@IdleSloth84_ Makes sense..... cost of ram is over 4x and SSDs are about 3x then what it was a few years ago. Hell there's a rumor that PS6 will be delayed till 2029 cause of it. If they release Helix they would have to charge will over 1k for it.
@JackmoveJohnny Steam isn't really competition to Xbox though.... Sure it's a different "store" but still on Windows. Also project Helix is rumored to actually support Steam... and if true then MS and Valve actually are 100% fine with each other.
@kitosan Because Fable was already publicly announced to be coming to PS before Asha took over. Xbox said that they won't cancel ports of games if they already been announced to be coming to PS.
@TheBigPlume They won't cancel PS ports of games if it was already announced. Luckily when Gears was first announced they didn't say for what though so they could have time to change it.
A move like this takes time..... This shows that they are going to take exclusives more seriously BUT games that already been announced for PS or in hard dev for PS will still release on PS. Remember everything shown here releases within about a years time.
As good as this #XboxShowcase is, it's still an uncertain approach - most games have PS5 logos on, yet they're doubling-down on Xbox as a brand and console exclusives. But, only sort-of?
The half-measure approach is probably worse and more confusing than picking one path.
@AshenOne_VI@boozerman_VP I think if they already were working on and in hard dev already on a PS version of a game is that they most likely won't cancel the port. We need to see what they release in 2028 and beyond to actually gauge on how hard they will go on exclusives.
@Senninsage@ZakkenKloot Yea anything they already said that's coming to PS will still come to PS... They will probably get a lot of backlash if they actually cancel the PS port when we know about it and that it's almost done.
@Senninsage The real thing is we need to see what games they release in 2028 and beyond that they maintain Xbox console exclusive. That will be the true tell on how hard they actually lean into console exclusives.
@Senninsage Yea any game that was hard in dev for PS was most likely still coming to PS.... Both Clockwork and Gears were never even mentioned coming to PS when announced. No point to cancel games that are only a year out and already had a PS build mostly done.
@TRICHERATOPS_@Senninsage Unfortunately Fable was already announced to be coming to PS before Asha took over. They won't cancel games that already been announced for other consoles.
@Senninsage@DestinLegarie Hell there is a chance that the new Gears game might be announced for PS if they already have a PS build of it. Sucks that they delayed Fable since I was looking forward to that BUT lets be real.... GTA 6 is gonna trounce everything when it releases....
@Senninsage@DestinLegarie I do think they should reevaluate their stance on exclusives(I know they said they they will) since Sony is no longer going to release their SP games on PC anymore. As for right now... They kinda can't games that are in dev that's for PS and already announced they wont run back.
@Kirby0Louise@Hidekazu__@VideoCardz After reading the article it looks like Intel did reach out to the devs during the years in dev for the game, even offered early samples and driver support.... So this isn't a intel problem but a dev one.
