2012. MSNBC’s Alex Wagner and Neera Tanden rip Boston Bruins player Tim Thomas for not going to the White House after the team was invited by Obama for winning the Stanley Cup.
Tanden: “This is kind of the hyper-partisanship that just irritates everybody."
“It's like, just go to the White House. You don't have to run an ad or cut a commercial or anything. Just go to the White House, take part, celebrate just like everybody else celebrates with Republicans or Democratic presidents.
Wagner: “Especially when you're getting honored."
Oh.
@jasonmcdaniels9@ClankoMedia But that doesn’t work with USA hockey. Every player I know from Western NY who play NEPSAC are all still part of the NY district for National camps
At the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN this weekend, their gate fee for the weekend is $75 which includes parking. This is for both NA spectators AND those who are there for the NAPHL youth event as well.
So some people will pay $75 to park and watch a youth hockey showcase

@0000ff212215 @BR_OpenIce Instead of “giving them the puck”, just take a shot on net right away. If it goes in great! If not, a whistle blows quickly and you get the 2 man advantage. It’s basically a free scoring opportunity without any ramifications.
@Mike_Bundt Correct. If you take a shot right away, you’re not wasting anymore than 1-2 seconds before the opposing team touches the puck. If it doesn’t go in the net, then you start the 2 man advantage
@Mike_Bundt Instead of “giving them the puck”, why not just take a shot on net. It’s almost like a free bee. Similar to football when the flag is on the D and the QB takes a shot downfield knowing it can’t hurt.
