Darius Acuff is easily a top 5 guard day 1 in the NBA. Heβll be a 25&7 type of guy while leading his team to the playoffs. I really donβt understand the defensive concerns bc college is much harder comp than the NBA
2028 Bartow point guard James Ratteree showed his value at The Villages Team Camp. The rising junior put teammates in position to succeed with vision, quick outlet passing, and a natural feel for operating as the primary initiator. He did a good job pushing the tempo in transition, showing burst when attacking in the open floor and putting pressure on defenses before they could get set.
Ratteree created offense at a high level off the dribble, using drive-and-kick reads to generate open perimeter looks and finding teammates on dump-offs around the basket. He also did a good job of throwing teammates open, delivering passes with timing and placement that allowed them to play immediately downhill. Rather than forcing action, he stayed poised, made the right reads, and generated clean scoring opportunities for others. He also showed he can finish plays himself, scoring through contact at the rim and knocking down perimeter shots.
Defensively, he got after it, applying steady ball pressure, disrupting opposing guards, and turning defense into offense by beating opponents to spots and coming up with steals. His activity level and competitiveness stood out on that end of the floor.
Overall, Ratteree impacted the game as a pace-setting lead guard who created advantages for others, pressured defenses with tempo, and helped lead Bartow to a championship, making plays on both ends throughout the event.

Just finished the first meeting with my team. I am glad, just as you are, to have Billy back on campus! This is a great group of guys who will play for one another (because thats who they are), ultra competitive, with a will to win. If we are not a great defensive team I havenβt done my job! We are physical, should be a great shot blocking team (at all 5 positions) and we have dogs! LETS GOOO
2027 6β2β point guard Davion Thompson showed why he is considered one of the top point guards in the country. In Team USA U18βs 84-62 victory over Brazil, Thompsonβs impact was felt throughout the game as he helped spark the run that allowed the Americans to pull away and take control.
Thompson finished with a game-high 16 points, along with 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, and zero turnovers. He showcased his ability to create scoring opportunities for teammates while keeping the offense organized. He showed confidence as a perimeter shooter, knocked down open shots, and made plays off the dribble. His ability to break down defenders, make sound decisions, and generate offense for both himself and others stood out against Brazil.
When Thompson was on the floor, Team USA U18 ran better and operated with more rhythm and pace. His presence put pressure on defenses and created opportunities for everyone around him. The game-high 16 points, zero turnovers, and overall command of the offense highlighted why he is considered one of the top point guards in the 2027 class.

At the NXT Pro Session 6 in Tampa, Florida, 2030 Wellington Wolves guard Jasiyah Freeman was one of the better eighth graders at the event. He played with consistent energy and stayed active on both ends of the floor.
Offensively, Freeman did a solid job getting to the basket off the dribble and finishing around the rim. He stayed involved in plays, pushed the ball in transition, and looked to score when opportunities were there. He also showed effort in cleaning up missed shots around the basket for easy points.
He was also able to knock down open shots when given space, showing he can contribute from the perimeter as well.
On defense, Freeman used his length to come up with steals and disrupt passing lanes, helping create extra possessions for his team.
On the boards, he rebounded well for his position and helped secure extra possessions for his team. His activity stood out in transition, as he was willing to bring the ball up the floor and help start the offense quickly.
Overall, Freeman was productive, active, and consistently involved throughout the session.

Breaking: Five-star Miikka Muurinen has committed to Arkansas, he and his agent, Teddy Archer of TAA Sports, tells ESPN.
Arkansas now boasts the nationβs top recruiting class.
Rich Paul made a great point.. You notice whatβs the first thing you ask a college or HS player why they wanna make the pros, They answer gone be to provide for they family & make money. U rarely hear any athlete say cause I wanna be the greatest to do it of all time. So thatβs why most players when they get that max they donβt give af nomo Bron really love the game & you can tell bitch had it all since 18 never once got unmotivated
Breaking: Arkansas transfer DJ Wagner has committed to George Mason.
The rising senior looks to bring stability at guard for Tony Skinn and the Patriots.
Dan Hurley on the officiating π
βItβs hard to ref that game. We both played so hardβ¦ If I could have those three guys ref every game the rest of my career, I would sleep well at night.β

You donβt like him βcuz he coaches hard.
That was some straight B.S. from the GREAT Geno Auriemma. Never β ever β thought Iβd see the day when the greatest womanβs college coach in history would go down so CLASSLESSLY!!! Horrible look, and should be called out for it. He got OUTCOACHED. Plain and simple. And gets in her face like she did something wrong to him instead of being gracious. Had Dawn Staley acted like that we would be all over her. #HorribleGENO!
