Friends….this is Jeffery Jones. He was a Flight Leader on Delta Flight 2721 from Detroit to Nashville earlier today! Wow WHAT A GUY!
He noticed that a lady in coach class had Parkinson’s disease and without blinking an eye, he went to her and guided her – by the hand – to a free seat in first class! Like WHAT???? A colleague of mine who was also on the flight, helped him get her into first class.
For the ENTIRE flight I could see him checking in on her, patting her back. helping her get up, walking her (holding hands) up and down the aisle and generally “mother hen-ing” her.
I asked him if he needed help taking her to the bathroom; he told me ‘I GOT THIS’! He told me his grandmother had Parkinson’s and that he was all good, but that he very much appreciated my offer for help.
As I sat in my seat – I literally had tears in my eyes.
When I got off the plane, this is what I told Jeffrey. “I am a nurse, and I am so impressed with how you took care of that lady. My mother is a very young 70 years old and is a newly diagnosed Parkinson’s patient. I hope one day someone treats her as well as you treated that lady!”

Our World War II veterans were welcomed home to the USA with a water cannon salute in Atlanta. What a powerful experience the past ten days have been. Our youngest veterans were 99 and our oldest was 107. Honored and humbled to have been in the presence of these heroes of the Greatest Generation for the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day. Thank you to the Best Defense Foundation for making this happen, and to the Best Defense Foundation volunteers, medical team, caregivers and Next-Gen students – you are simply the best. A special thank you to @Michelin and @VetClaimsAI for all your support and to @Delta for going above and beyond with special charter flights to and from Normandy for these veterans. On Thursday, as we boarded the plane, I realized I left my briefcase at the airport restaurant. Unfortunately, once you get on a plane, you cannot leave until you reach your destination. I immediately informed the flight crew about my situation. The crew asked me to describe the briefcase and instructed me to wait near the front of the plane. While I was trying not to panic, they asked if I would be a temporary flight attendant until someone found my bag. After a few minutes of greeting passengers, a hardworking crew member found my bag and delivered it to the plane. Thanks to the flight crew and pilots at Allegiant Air. They went above and beyond the call of duty.
