@fed_speak@YahooFinance People judge Zuckerberg for cash burning and over hiring at Meta what spotify has been doing should be illegal. Main reason that company doesnt print money is because of its leadership.
@MadThunderdome What these people don't realise is once they get a taste for this level of risk even if they are initially lucky they will always believe it can continue and eventually they will zero.
@MadThunderdome People dont want to make 7-10% a year investing in good companies through managers with low fees, they want to pay a lot for otm options on stocks that bounce 100% in one month and make 1000%.
@calvinfroedge I have a similar view but I had reservations about the portfolio construction it doesn't look well balanced to me especially as he describes it as an absolute return. But it has almost no long exposure outside of QQQ and cash.
@CAVandy It is also nice to bring in a pause feature sometimes can be annoying watching the data change live, especially if the data movement is just noise.
@calvinfroedge I get what he is saying in a delusional way, but is anyone in america paying themselves $1bn in income? We have someone in the UK famous for paying herself a lot, Denise Coates, she always gets flack but ulimately has personally contributed 100s of millions in taxes.
@MarkGutman9 The example I use for this is oil, they go into the middle of the sea, create something which will float on the water all year and drill potentially miles down, refine it and they can do all of that for about $1 a L about the same price as bottled water.
@worstcontrarian I image finding someone to come in everyday for $10k a week is relatively easy. But I respect you have your own standards for a good work/life.
@elliereeves The leaks are terrible and effecting the area but ยฃ2m a year to run a multi billion ยฃ revenue business with over 7000 employees, which is a vital service to the area is not eye watering. If you want the best people to do the important jobs you have to pay correctly.
@GordonGekko420 Pub, restaurant, theatre, museums, sighting seeing, airports that go to interesting places, the ability to go to a busy area and actually meet new people.... As they say when a man is tired of london he is tired of life
@SMB_Attorney This is the unfortunate reality of what it takes for a lot of people who want to make millions a year. For most it takes giving up personal freedoms and you would need to have positive associations with that to be able to deal with it for decades. Not really surprsing
