Lioness might be Taylor Sheridan’s best show. Featuring three Oscar winners (Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman & living legend Morgan Freeman), the entire cast top to bottom is elite - everyone delivers an outstanding performance. Matching the acting is the writing- Sheridan’s writing is also elite. The armed forces is a space Sheridan has had success with in the past (see Sicario) & his return to the genre with Lioness is a welcome one. Above all, this show is incredibly unpredictable, a key ingredient that I think is necessary to make a show a hit.
