After breaking out big-time last year, Saunders has only continued her meteoric rise to become the best goalie in NEWHA.
No matter how the remainder of this season shakes out keep this in mind:
You are watching a historic season and what could easily be the debut of an all-time great.
Let this serve as your monthly reminder that Lisa is just a rookie.
Congrats to the National Rookie of the Month for January, Lisa Jönsson!

Among all freshmen since 2000, she’s second only to Éve Gascon’s 2023-24 season (149.65).
The caveat here is that Gascon recorded 21 starts, while Jönsson is already at 19.
Noora Räty(!) is her nearest freshman comparable with at least 25 starts at a score of 142.54.
