In the first six weeks of 2026, the Israeli regime demolished 312 homes and agricultural structures in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and over 1,700 Palestinians were displaced—already surpassing all of 2025—reflecting accelerated Israeli colonization under the “Decisive Plan.” Meanwhile, Gaza continues to face sustained bombardment amid the absence of a true ceasefire. Together, these form part of a broader process of Israeli enclavement across Palestine.

A system of enclavement imposed by the Israeli regime is tightening across Palestine, marked by siege, bombardment, and reorganization in Gaza, expanding displacement due to colonial expansion and colonizers' attacks in the West Bank, and intensified repression in Jerusalem. These interconnected policies are producing shrinking, isolated enclaves for Palestinians, while states refuse to act, remaining complicit.

The BADIL Resource Center for Residency and Refugee Rights has released Working Paper #33, “The Israeli Apartheid Spatial Regime: Fragmentation and Enclavement of Palestine.” The paper introduces “enclaving” as a framework for understanding how Palestinian space is being systematically reorganized by the Israeli regime into fragmented, governed units that isolate communities while reconfiguring control as administration. This Israeli apartheid spatial regime is deliberately engineered to fragment Palestine and its people into enclaves, with the purpose of systematically undermining their inalienable rights to self-determination and return.

Palestinian Land Day, 30 March 1976: Israeli forces killed six Palestinians protesting land expropriation.
