@WBA A sad one this, clearly not his plan to retire as he returned for pre season so must hurt him a little more. A great servant for our club, had his mistakes just like all of us. But had a lot more good performances than most that have pulled on our beloved stripes. Go well Barts❤️
@sjpatel212 Heggebo won’t have the same goal record as his previous club, but will a positive asset for us in terms of holding the ball up, taking defenders out the game etc. really liked the look of Campbell although think if being used as full back, needs to be on his stronger right side.
@BradTalksBall @EyaWeGew Great points made by you, and I do agree. I think the best way for us to succeed now is to trust into a long term plan. Humbly we aren’t what we were and we no longer have a “divine right” to go back up. A rebuild is long over due and this strategy is a great start.
@BradTalksBall @EyaWeGew I’m not disagreeing with your original tweet btw, and I agree with the model we’re trying to adopt. I’m just wondering if it’s right approach, wrong time? Would be great to hear opinions
@BradTalksBall @EyaWeGew But do we get out of this league doing that? I completely understand it’s a great model in modern football, and teams like Brighton thrive from this. But does this new model get you out of one of the most competitive and high impact leagues in the world?
@LukeRow35401370 What about when we lost to Torquay who were in the national league with our strongest 11 and a week later beat Crystal Palace 1-0 first game of the season?? Pre season means fuck all in terms of results
Basics don’t require talent. So whilst TM hasn’t been good enough,of course nobody can deny that. Most of our downfall is individuals making wrong decisions. And players that don’t have the bollocks to take responsibility shouldn’t have the joy to wear the badge that we’d die for.
TM has to take a lot of responsibility, but certain players should need gone asap. TM can’t coach work rate, that has to be driven internally by individuals, yet players still just stroll around the pitch half arsed. The lack of doing the basics in possession is so bad. 1/3
Simple passes given away, overplaying in the wrong areas, A simple reaction to win the ball back when we lose it. We have none of it. The basics are foundations to be built upon, and are so simple to fix. But we never seem to get it right. We make it so easy to play against us. 2/3
@niknakdaddymac@matt_p_w If he goes it’ll be a loan, club can’t afford to sell as won’t get anywhere near the fee we payed (think was 15M). To FPL if we sold for 3M, it wouldn’t be 3million profit but rather 12M loss. I think he stays til jan at least with lack of incomings unless anything changes.
@ollieitfc07@Topper_George Experience? Experience of the one premier league season he’s played when we got relegated and Kieran Gibbs played a quarter of the season anyway. Have him, please.
