I'm not sure I agree that they are burning good will. D4 will still run, clearly not as it used to but everything evolves and as time goes on migrating to the new Diablo should feel natural I would imagine. Same thing happens when d3 came out.

You just try the new game to see if it's for you.

When I made the decision to attend BlizzCon I had no idea what to expect, but I knew I wanted to show up as a fan. A fan of the games that helped me through tough times in my life and also afforded me the opportunity to connect with people in my life I may never have other wise.

Video games are special and important and this weekend I feel especially greatful for an exceptional community experience that I will never forget.

To all those that could make it out, thank you! For those who couldn't don't worry. I was thinking of you and maybe just maybe I can offer something... Slightly diabolical.
