The overwhelming message of Hallmark & Lifetime Christmas movies seems to be that inn owners are the happiest career-people in the world, to which I must ask:
When did cooking & cleaning up after others, day-in and day-out, become idealized? Isn’t that what we are all sick of?
And this is not a jab at Hallmark or Lifetime. I love them and have watched at least 30 of their Christmas movies so far and will probably watch 30 more.
…but 75% of all side characters have solved their unhappiness in life by buying an Inn way out in the middle of nowhere.
After an exhausting day, I finally sat down and conquered my first 10 words for #NaNoWriMo. Yep. Going great so far. Now, I remember exactly why I wanted to do this again. . .
Things to know about #nanowrimo:
1) It's okay if you want to choose your idea on Nov 1
2) It's okay if you want to be a rebel and write something other than a novel or 50K words or whatever
3) It's okay to have FUN
🔥❤️✨

I have once again decided to do #NaNoWriMo at the last possible moment, and all I’ve pulled together this evening is a questionable playlist for an idea that I have had for years and ignored. I plan to completely pants it, because no time. #WritingLife
SAY IT OUT LOUD came out in fall 2021, when public events were still impossible. It got lost, as so many books did, & still hasn’t found its readers. If you’ve read it, would you please review? https://t.co/mA9AilqP4y
I think advice that people should “read a book” to help wind down before bed is bad logic. That person has clearly never read a good book. Books don’t wind me down. They wind me up.
PSA: If they wind you down, please go to your local librarian for help choosing better books.
A guy sent me this emoji 🫡 2 wks ago and based on how the chat was going, I seriously thought it meant “look at my dick” or “dickhead”
Needless to say, both interpretations irritated me. I’ve only just seen this emoji on a much larger screen & finally understood what it is.🤦🏻♀️
