Today is Mika's birthday!

Bright, chatty, and always ready with a joke. At first glance, she looks like someone without a care in the world — but spend enough time with her and you start to notice her own story is rarely part of the conversation.

Someone who knows what it feels like to lose something precious, who knows starting over isn't easy, and yet still shows up smiling and talks first. Someone who admits she's scared of being disliked, but reaches out toward Sensei anyway.

So today, it might be nice for Sensei to be the one to reach out first. Before Mika does.
