Republican members of Congress have sent a formal letter to Ursula @vonderLeyen, sharply criticizing the European Commission’s interference in Hungary’s electoral process.

They highlight politically driven funding, pressure on media and NGOs, and censorship under the Digital Services Act (DSA) as tools of influence.

The letter demands full transparency on EU-linked funding, selection criteria, and safeguards against partisan political activity, as well as clarity on how regulatory actions impact electoral discourse.
