Democracy is supposed to mean the people have power. But in this country, the people only have the suffering.
I am just hoping that one day, this democracy will actually mean something to the people it was meant to serve. π
Today is just another Friday for me.
People said "Happy Democracy Day" and I responded, but it didn't come from my heart. How do you celebrate a democracy where children are missing in a forest, the powerful are looking away and the ordinary person is dying slowly?π
Too many prayers sent up and not yet answered.ππ
The world continues moving.
But in one forest in Oyo State, over 40 souls are still waiting. Nothing is being done by our so called leaders. π
This is sad. πππ
Anytime I'm about to go to bed, I can't help but think about the condition of those children. Too many hours since small hands were dragged into a forest π. Too many sunrises watched from the wrong side of freedomπ. Too many meals they did not eat. Too many prayer

Somewhere a principal who built her life around other people's children is holding those same children in a forest, whispering it will be okay, even when she is not sure it will.
Somewhere a family set a plate at the table. Just in case.
This is what we have becomeπ
I'm heart broken πsomewhere in a forest tonight, a four year-old is wondering why her mother has not come. She doesnotunderstand politics. She does not understand failure. She only knows that it is dark, and she is afraid, and the arms that should be holding her are not thereπ
