The South Carolina Age-Appropriate Design Code (SC AADC) applies to ALL platforms and apps that conduct business in South Carolina that are "reasonably likely to be accessed by minors," and meet at least one of three thresholds:
1) annual gross revenues exceeding $25 million,
2) processing data of 50,000 or more consumers, or
3) deriving 50% or more of revenue from data sales
By July 1, 2026, companies subject to the SC AADC must complete independent platform assessments and submit public reports to the state attorney general.
