I just finished Judge Stone and loved it! If you liked A Time to Kill, I think you would like this too. Viola Davis not only co-wrote it with James Patterson, but also did the narration. I thought it was great! I can already see it being adapted to a movie or series.

Here's my July books. I finished 14 books this month. Highlights were Rumors & Whiskey, I See You've Called in Dead, Bad Bishop & Twisted Pawn, and 138 Main. My reading goal for the year was 100. I guess I underestimated myself. I've finished 110 so far.
