We have Portuguese also coming to know this beautiful subcontinent called India. So the interaction is very, very good."
Goa: On Portugal Day celebration in Goa, João Ribeiro de Almeida, the ambassador of Portugal in India, says, "For us it's the 10th of June, but this time in Goa we did it on Saturday, 13th of June, which is also a very important date for the Portuguese because it's the date of birth of Saint Anthony. Delhi: On central theme of her book 'A Poetic Journey of Awakening and Courage: Riding with the Silver Wolf', Senior Technical Officer, Embassy of Portugal in New Delhi, Dr. Bindiya Bedi Charan Noronha, says, "This book has many themes, you know, it also draws on spirituality within India and it draws on the feminine identity and the ecological awareness as well as social justice. I was the first winner of the scholarship between India and Portugal under the Cultural Agreement. So, I was very influenced by the country. It's a small country with a lot of ocean surrounding it. And you know, today is 10th June. It's the National Day of Portugal and I think it's very lovely to talk about this topic because it is commemorated on the death of the poet, Louis de Camões. And somewhere, you know, I was already very influenced by Rabindranath Tagore and then I was influenced by his writings..."
#RidingWithTheSilverWolf is about conscious living. This is not poetry that escapes reality. It is poetry that leans into it—calling readers to awaken, to listen, to question, to act, and to love more deeply. It seeks to awaken readers to the sacred within the ordinary and the responsibility within freedom of our democratic country.

We have a lot of freedom in our country. We are a democratic country. You know, people are talking and there are protests. But at the same time, we need to have a responsible freedom. So, it looks and highlights the social injustices also, like the situation of widows in Varanasi and, you know, the ecological..."

That is curated by me. Every month we have a poetry meeting under the UK Poetry Society. In Riding with the Silver Wolf, Ms. Bindiya Bedi Charan Noronha transforms storms, oceans, memory, spirituality and human longing into reflective poetry of rare sincerity. The collection moves gracefully between inner healing and social conscience, reminding readers that even in turbulent times, beauty, compassion and hope endure.

A tiny glimpse of the current visit of His Excellency João Rui Ferreira, Secretary of State for the Economy of Portugal to India. Bringing Portugal and India closer, the dynamic Secretary of State engages with his Ministerial counterparts, while leading a delegation of Portuguese entrepreneurs from various sectors, addressing the CII Annual Business Summit 2026 and speaking to journalists.
The India-Portugal Partnership is not just a partnership for the future; it is a reality today. Indian companies have already chosen Portugal for its talent, market access, and predictability. The flow runs both ways, building a stronger, practical, and strategic partnership.
