A tough second half saw one team slip down the table slightly but the team of Joe Duncan, Evan Romans, Megan Fraser and Charlie Jung had a superb final round and finished in second place, sealing their place in the National final! Congratulations to all teams that took part
We were delighted to send two team of enthusiastic young mathematicians to @Madrascollege this week to take part in the Fife heats of Enterprising Maths @MathsScotland
Both teams put in a great effort and were leading the way at the half way stage of the competition.
Finally, we would like to thank Mr Markham who has encouraged and supported pupils to take part in many competitions over his years here. Today is Mr Markham's last day before a well earned retirement and he will be missed by us all when we return in August.
We were also able to celebrate the success of our S1/2 pupils in the recent @UKMathsTrust Junior Maths Challenge. A total of 27 pupils received certificates with Joe, Evan, Adam & Douglas also qualifying for the next round-the Kangaroo

Charlie,Murray,Euan,Ashley,Robbie,Abbie,Annabel, Edie,Lochlan,Jack and Laura were all delighted to receive their certificate.

The was no separating the scores of these two teams who are [geographically] separated by almost 6,000km! Excellent work throughout!
Annabel, Euan, Megan and Charlie finished a fabulous 15th out of 52 teams from across Scotland at the @MathsScotland Enterprising Maths final at the Glasgow Science Centre on Tuesday π

Some of the maths faculty were at opening night and were very impressed and enjoyed what was an excellent show. We would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet bought a ticket!

We are so proud of our S3/4 team who finished 25th in the @MathsScotland national final at @gsc1. Well done to everyone involved and a massive thanks to the organisers for a great day of maths!
