@RealDonMarshall@Strangeland_Elf compared to just a few years ago.
Many of these dudes are just followers at heart. And they have the gall to call everyone else sheep.
@RealDonMarshall@Strangeland_Elf I’m not sure I agree. I think it’s more sad and pathetic than that.
The dude is seeker sensitive at his core. He goes where he thinks his audience wants him to go. If they’re rabid white nationalists, then that’s where he’ll be.
That’s why he sounds so different now.
@asa_earvin@not_our_guy And just like that, a permanent self-own to anything he can ever say.
Like Corey Mahler being a 40 year old unmarried bum who still lives with his parents.
@not_our_guy As one of those “n***ers they just love to talk about, I should find this offensive. But it’s just pathetic. It’s beyond parody. And many of them claim to represent Jesus?
I feel embarrassed for their families. It’s like “who raised, or failed to raise you!?”
@MrDanielBuck Purpose is more important and more fulfilling than ease.
Being a father/mother is hard. But since when has anything worth having or doing ever been easy?
Keep on rocking that dad life! 😊
@not_our_guy That’s the way of humanity unfortunately. Even the best of us fall for it. We look for evidence for things we already believe/want to believe and ignore or downplay anything that contradicts those beliefs.
@marsyasnyc@not_our_guy@EWErickson Sho’ is easy to submit when the authority figure in question is long dead and therefore can’t really check you if you’re out of line.
@AStev1689@not_our_guy These boys are playing a very dangerous game. The third commandment of taking the Lord’s name in vain refers to far more than just saying “GD” and using His name as a swear word.
@Jmichealj0495 I think it’s possible that they can make something good. The live action One Piece adaption is a great road map for how to approach something like this.
