@ThomasDrance I agree, huge risk on a players who had 39 points in 4 seasons then had one very good season on an offensive minded team with one of the worldโs best/consistent players in the game today. 5 x 11 would have been a better deal with 4 years a full NMC.
@CanucksArmy@CanucksConvo I hope Im wrong but Malhotra may end being a sizeable disappointment at 3 even in the top 7. Good player ton of potential to grow but his stats last year were very padded with a extreme team shooting percentage. Very similar to the PDO bender the canucks were on a couple year ago
@PierreVLeBrun@NHL_Watcher 39 points combined in 4 years before last seasons. Two 40 point AHL seasons was the career high before. 4 X 9.5 would have been a better deal. Lotta risk for a possible decent reward.
@Kgill39 Why would he let him talk within division. Hopefully this sparks a new authentic rivalry. You should be trying to screw over teams in your own division as possible.
@citchmook You do realize that CBC has been kept alive for the last several years by the Canadian Liberal government they have hemorrhaged millions the last couple of years and government funding ( tax payers) have kept it alive. CBC will probably be non existent within 10 years.
@nmalkonen@TopTierPucks@zach_20007 Easier to do with no state tax, spent to nearly the limit and arenโt loaded with draft picks, 3 is incredibly impressive but this was arguably more impressive then any of those runs on their own. Currently the two best GMโs in the league by a margin.
@TopTierPucks@zach_20007 Given they won the cup with 12 million in cap space, when 16-3 in the process well having everyone re-signed except two veterans who will be gone anyway, well having 4 1st round picks in the next 3 drafts, well winning the cup with 0 superstars is very damn impressive. Id say yes
@CanucksArmy@bet365ca Should only be bringing in players who other teams are paying the Canucks to take, makes no zero sense to pay for unlikely projects
