I can't think of a single residence within 20 miles of where I live that's been built in the past 70 years that's on anything smaller than a quarter of an acre.

I wanted to take another year or two to save up at least some money before going to college, but my parents, who couldn't / wouldn't pay for any of it insisted that if I didn't go now I never would and the loans would work themselves out.
