@Heritagecricket@CrailGolf@TaylorMadeTour Oh yes Kieran - great video! It’s an amazing hole that plays so different depending on the wind … and the view is spectacular!
@HackItOutGolf great SMS on easiest hole. Fun with Mark “messing up” last week and holding back today.
Can you follow up on how the hcp/stroke index is assigned to each hole?. I’ve heard it’s based score average and the difference between scratch and bogey players.
@BenjaminBoucha2@LouStagner Agree, in regular stroke play for fun we can have gimmies to speed up - inside the leather is the length of the grip originally.
This post is about match plays and that isn’t about gimmies - it’s strategy.
@GolfGuy_824@LouStagner Match play is a different game - you might want to concede that 3-4 footer eqrly to not give opponent chance to get on a roll. Imagine having the first 3-4 footer late in round to tie the match. It’s tactics and psychology.
@Heritagecricket I understand it’s mostly about distance control - 3 wood when their driver could reach trouble. Unlike the rest of us they probably are more accurate as well.
@Weatherhack Every golfer should learn the handicap system and how to use course handicap. ..if you are not single figure hcp you shouldn’t play straight up stroke play - max score on hole is double net boogie . Pick up and go to next hole Instead of ruining the round with a 12
@Top100Rick Wow what a cool tee shot, I would probably it a 4 (T200} or 3 iron (U505) stinger … both will unfortunately hit a tree but who cares if unjust get to play that hole.
@Top100Rick Only sign I don’t want to see is “carts only” as I prefer to walk. Ride or walk is your choice and I don’t care as long as you get to play golf (and keep up with group in front)
@CPowers14 Many pro shops can help you fix over night. Broke my driver first day of a week in St Andrews area - Auchterlonies shop got it fixed for next day :-)
@_LFGolf Can’t stand plastic tees , only short wooden tees with irons and the Lignum microwood tees for driver are amazing. Purchased three bags of 12 each in 2017 and still haven’t opened the third bag ..
@PGATUOR Haven’t crashed a buggy as I always walk and have attended major but I did caddy a tournament for the player known for biggest choke in a major … he is French and really nice guy.
