People, especially those from outside California, looking to make hay out of fraudulent vote counting are missing the boat entirely. The vote counting, like every other government service in California, is plodding, inefficient, and expensive. But the material threat to fair elections takes place before the count begins. It's the universal mailed balloting, the legalized ballot harvesting, and the lack of proper ID or signature verification. All put into law in California by a supermajority flexing its authority over elections. That's 99% of this. The vote count process itself is supremely retarded, but not a likely source of material fraud.
There was zero “Maga agenda,” whatever that means. The use of that term, @MayorOfLA, reveals your utter distrain, disrespect, and derision of the citizens of LA. @spencerpratt’s every comment and every plan was to solve the issues that have plagued LA for years, problems you refuse to attend to. Pratt is willing to sacrifice his privacy and time to actually solve these issues. You, on the other hand have for 4 years mocked or ignored our pleas to get the mentally ill off our streets, clear the encampments, fill the potholes and shave down the sharp road ridges, etc, etc. You are showing yourself to have no honor, no respect for LA, and no sense of responsibility. It’s shameful. Utterly shameful.
California really outdid itself this time. In a stunning display of strength and confidence, the state’s political machine decided the best way to handle Spencer Pratt was to smother him in the primary before he could make the general election “uncomfortable.”
Nothing says “we’re totally in control” like rigging a no-name progressive into second place just to avoid letting one reality star with decent ads stand next to Karen Bass for five months. Brilliant. Very democratic. Very normal behavior from a system that definitely doesn’t rely on fraud to survive.
They couldn’t risk it. Couldn’t risk five more months of Pratt using AI ads to point out that Los Angeles is a collapsing disaster while offering the radical idea of maybe not letting it burn. Couldn’t risk him making crime, homelessness, and open corruption look like solvable problems instead of permanent features of one-party rule. So they pulled the plug early and called it a victory.
This is the kind of move you make when you’re terrified of your own voters seeing what an actual alternative looks like. They didn’t just beat Pratt. They had to erase him from the conversation entirely, because apparently even a long-shot campaign run by an outsider was too much of a threat to the carefully maintained atmosphere of learned helplessness.
Congratulations, California. You successfully defended your right to keep running the worst major city in America without anyone asking too many questions.
What a flex.

Everyone hold on! I just found 378,000 votes for Spencer Pratt! Driving them to the registrar right now!
Trust me, these ballots are legit and definitely as real as the ones collected on skid row!
This country has been running on fraud. For decades.
Election fraud. Immigration fraud. Financial fraud.
Fraud of every kind.
It all has to end or our country is finished.
@AGRobBonta A task force.
Democrat answer to every problem they made
Pay taxpayer dollars to hire friends and Democrat associates to accomplish nothing but spending more taxpayer dollars to supporters.
“The cost of living is much too high.
So we’re gonna spend even more tax payer money bringing in a bunch of ‘legal experts’ to come up with even more regulations to make sure prices keep increasing.”
This is how California has been operating for the last decade and the results speak for themselves.
You are not a serious person. A serious person would ask themselves why, if this was such a crisis, they didn't give a shit about it until after so very many people have left for cheaper places. This has been going on since the 90's. And nobody from your party has done anything about it until... now? What you propose probably sounds good on the surface to some, but will cause more people to leave as the state pushes ever on towards communism.
@AGRobBonta All performative…and at more expense to taxpayers. If you want to know why California is unaffordable, look no further than the Democrat Super Majority , the NGOs and Regulations/policies that enrich them.
@AGRobBonta The answer to the high cost of living in Cali is easy. Vote out most Democrats, including your anti-Constitution self, and shrink the size of government (including your retarded Affordability Response Team).
@AGRobBonta Awesome idea. Form a task force, spend money, and waste time discussing why the price of gas, rent and food is ridiculously high.
The problem is government. You’re the problem. Stop taxing people and businesses into oblivion.
How much will that cost us? This is just another money laundering grift. You know what makes things so unaffordable in California? The ridiculous gas tax, high sales tax, tax and regulations on businesses. Meanwhile, we pay for cushy lifestyle for the criminal organization you funnel money through CHIRLA to start riots and give taxpayer funds to illegals.
