REPORT: A former Google executive is warning that artificial intelligence could trigger “15 years of hell.”

Mo Gawdat spent more than a decade inside Google, witnessing the AI race from the inside.

According to him, the chatbots, image generators, and productivity tools dominating headlines are merely the public-facing versions of the technology.

Behind closed doors, he says, the real race involves autonomous weapons, mass surveillance systems, military targeting technology, and AI capable of continuously rewriting and improving its own code with minimal human oversight.

Gawdat warns that the next wave of disruption could wipe out millions of white-collar jobs, hollow out the middle class, concentrate wealth in the hands of a tiny elite, and fuel social unrest on a scale humanity has not seen for generations.

That said, he believes AI could eventually help create a more prosperous future.

But the problem is surviving what comes first.

What replaces it is structural integration: shared weapons development, joint production lines, intertwined AI and cyber programs, mutual investment in each other's defense industries.

You can end aid with a pen.

You cannot easily separate two defense industrial bases that build their next-generation platforms together.

After a war where a lot Americans said the U.S. fought for Israel's interests, the political vulnerability was always the aid line.

Netanyahu's answer is to delete the line item and replace it with something deeper that never shows up as a check Congress has to approve.

The relationship that critics spent this war trying to loosen is being rewired into something far harder to unwind.
