@TheRealRigelis The coin flip didn’t change our odds of jumping it just determined how far we could fall if I’m not mistaken. But imagine we had won one more game this season and ended up with the 7th pick 🤮
@LeanerGreen@kjohnson_35@utahjazzfan47@DJME2WRCHSLC@Dat2UReturns Is the Wizards front office less clear eyed about their market? The Wizards were recently voted the second least favorite destination in the nba by players. Why would they draft AJ if he wants to go to Utah?
@danclayt0n Hey when’s the next podcast? I’m dying for more great Jazz content! The more draft focused the better. Also I’d love to hear what kind of roster you would expect for summer league. Does getting a higher pick make the Jazz more likely to play someone like flip for reps?
@dannnidoll@NBAPR The team is still responsible for rehabbing him and his money was guaranteed. For Vince nothing changed. But by waiving him the Jazz opened up a roster spot that was used to give multiple g league players a life changing opportunity and life changing money
@TheBMax@CHoltSports I just don’t know if you could ask for a better indicator of a coach knowing defense while tanking so hard. Of course we can’t say for sure that he’ll be good because we haven’t seen it, but there was never an opportunity to succeed defensively with guys like flip playing a lot
@TheBMax@CHoltSports I was really happy to hear that as someone who’s been skeptical of Hardy’s defense. To me that indicates good scheme and poor personnel. Giving up stuff like long twos but opponents making it at an abnormal rate is completely fine with me while tanking. Hopefully that changes now
@JazzCultureBR@dannythebaer@McCadeP8 This is the part I don’t see people talk about. They were good there just wasn’t a way forward. Loaded with large contracts and no picks. Might be worth another try if they got close but not after a second round exit
@jhatem@danclayt0n What point guard skills is he showing that Ace hasn’t? Same assists, worse shooting, less scoring. If you want to say Riley long term I would disagree but that’s fine. To say that Riley is the better player currently is just factually wrong
@jhatem@danclayt0n I’ve watched many hours of both. I like Riley plenty but I can’t find a single thing that he does better than Ace, or any reason his long term outlook is better
@ravenwizardd@BigCatJohnson@AJ3Jazz Ace plays two more minutes a game and has a lower usage rate. Perfectly reasonable to value Tre more but I don’t think that’s the best reason
@jazzbeargryllz@Jksports15 Unironically Cody actually had some nice minutes at point in SL. Of course that’s not the same thing as the real deal but it’d be a way to get some sneaky development in while tanking to new levels
