Week 4 Rankings

@LCPNetwork_ With the last third of the season remaining, these last divisional series will prove pivotable for almost every team down the stretch. The majority of the teams are within striking distance of the conference leaders, but Ambition, Booze, and B&B don’t run the risk of missing the playoffs no matter how bad this last part of the season might go. Here’s my current rankings and predictions for the remainder of season 13.

1. Ambition (19-3) @AmbitionLCP

This team has been the favorite since the season started. Antbooty has lead the way averaging 18 ppg, 11 apg while only giving up 1.6 topg. This efficiency makes Ambition a difficult opponent but Ike & Kanu are able to pick up ball handling duties if Ant draws a tough lock. Ambition have excellent guard play but don’t overlook their forwards. Huns is back to his dominate ways with 14.8 ppg, 13.8rpg and 1.8 bpg. Ant’s and Huns’ make a formidable duo when Ant decides to run the PnR.

Ambition will end with the best record of 28-6 dropping a few games to the Boozehounds and Takeover. Poised to make a deep playoff run, Ambition will make the finals.

2. Barry and the Boys (16-6) @BBoyslcp

Right now Barry and the Boys are the hottest team in the league. Their 4 game win streak has put them atop of their conference with no real challenger with Reign’s recent decline. Barry has taken another step forward at pg and is a MVP favorite this season. Barry averages 20.5 ppg, 9.7 apg and shooting 47% from three. Barry can rely on Byrie’s 15.8 ppg but that’s not the team’s biggest strength. Yurpa is putting up MVP numbers with 16.6ppg, 15rbg, 1.6bpg.

Barry and the Boys will win the conference finishing 24-8. Barry will only be really challenged by HCOTB while running through the rest of the divisional blocks. Barry will lead his team to the final if he can keep from games where he and Byrie both shoot poorly.

3. Takeover (12-10) @TAKEOVER_LCP

Takeover is beginning to build a strong 1-2 punch in Chrxnch and Money. This combo provides most of the teams points with the only having crow as another scoring threat. The Chrxnch Money combo gives Takeover 34 ppg but has accounted for 50 plus in the last couple of blocks. This team is still making small improvements but how will they play against teams who decide to take away Chrxnch or Money. Can either of those players be able to carry and can Crow pick up that slack. Steelos has been a serviceable center, but his inexperience shows when playing against the more distinguished bigs. No one expects Swiper to remain at “lock”. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes his pg debut in the playoffs.

Takeover will finish the season with a 19-15 record. Takeover will more than likely match up against Boozehounds in the playoffs.

4. Boozehounds (17-5) @BalBoozehounds

This team rely solely on how Sparks shoots. If he’s hot, they win. Recently Sparks has been struggling with hitting 35.7% from the floor. The Boozehound offense gets a huge boost when Whippits decides to play. Whippits leads the league with points per game with 28.2. Boozehounds have to get that production in the playoffs if they hope to go past the first round. Roster consistency is the biggest issue facing this team but expect the regulars to showup for the playoffs.

Boozehounds finish the season with a record of 23-11. They reach the conference finals by eliminating Takeover in 5 games but cant stop the Ant & Ike combo to advance to the Finals.

5. Reign (12-10) @ReignLcp

Schlegel has his work cut out and needs to do it in a hurry. Reign is 2-8 on the last 10 games and 1-5 since acquiring Soul. They’re not out by any means but need to figure out the offense especially when Sleaze isn’t in the line up. I think Schlegel should turn the ball handling duties over to Sleaze for the rest of the season or at least have him touch the ball each possession. Soul has averaged 15.9 ppg with 7.8 apg with over 50% shooting from the floor and three. Sleaze has slightly higher numbers with 20.4ppg and shooting 56.9% from the floor and just over 51% from deep. Schlegel is having another solid season averaging 11.4 ppg with 14.1 rpg. This team can be dangerous if they return to their winning ways.

Reign finish the season at 17-17 and can't advance to the Conference Finals.

6. HCOTB (10-12) @HcotbLcp

Twan doubled down on defense by picking up the toxic OG Damage. This makes his team a legitimate challenger to the top teams and could sneak up on a few if not taken serious. HCOTB’s new pg, Curryslide, has given the team the boost it needed by the offensive output increasing by 11.3 ppg. Curry averages 25.6 ppg, 11.3 apg, 56% FG and 52.6% 3FG. I can see Curry being in MVP contention if the team continues to win. The combo of Damage and Intellect gives HCOTB easily the best defensive backcourt. Both locks have shown to be very consistent knock down shooters. Lastly, a lot of responsibility lies in Random by how he facilitates Curry. This is a scary team if he can keep setting screens to free up Curry’s shot. Random, who’s usually hesitant to shoot, has been letting it fly this season shooting 52.5% from behind the line.

HCOTB will finish second in the conference by finishing 18-16. HCOTB outlast Reign in the first round of the playoffs but fall to Barry in the next round.

7. Prime Elite (7-15)

So this team keeps changing. Titan leads the way for Elite with 18.7 ppg, 9.1 apg but hasn’t had that much help in the first part of the season. Now, Elite has picked up Mustang and Donn. This bolsters both sides of the ball but I don’t think it will take them any further in the playoffs. Elite could surprise the teams ahead of them. We will see how Donn changes the dynamics of this already offensive team. Elite’s best hope is to get into the 3rd position somehow to play either Reign or HCOTB. That being said, Elite did just split a series with Barry so its not a death sentence if they do draw Barry in the first round.

Prime finish 13-21 and take Barry’s team to the limit but end up losing 3-2. Prime has no real answer for Yurpa.

8. Kraken (7-15)
I’m not real sure why Lou was traded but I think that sealed Kraken’s fate this season. Kraken is left with no real pg or at least one that is close to Lou’s abilities. Adding Beast was a positive but Kraken will rely heavily Beast to improve on his 16.1 ppg. Maybe Mac has a plan for Fav or Jimmie to make up for the void Lou leaves. If not, I think Venom could make their first playoff appearance.
Kraken finished this season with a record of 10-24.

9. Venom (4-18)
Picking up Lou was huge and I think saved Venom’s season. This addition will go nicely with Grind, Lowkey, KB and Z. Lowkey was already playing an impressive pg but with Lou at the helm, Grind should see a significant increase in shot opportunities. Its hard to predict this team ceiling but I think Venom will catch and pass Kraken but anything more than that will add to Lou already MVP like season. This team to me is a must watch down the stretch.

Venom finish the league’s last season at 12-22 making the playoffs. I think they will be a difficult opponent for whichever team draws them.

10. Magma 5 (6-16) @C28_FIRE

This team is a dumpster fire although the have a good shot at making the playoffs. CFire is having a down season scoring 14.3 ppg, 12.1 apg and shooting 46& FG. This season can be turned around by the addition of Demi and JR Trinity. These two can score a lot if left open. Demi also has a lock that could help with the teams defensive struggles. Boss is still doing what he does, scoring 9.5ppg and 13 rpg but cant carry the team himself. This team can make the playoffs if Chris returns to his old self.

Magma 5 finish up 10-24 and miss the playoffs.

LCP Season 13 Finals Predictions:

Barry proves to be too much for Ambition in the LCP finals. The finals end 3-1 in Barry’s favor. Ambition don’t have enough to stop Barry’s three headed attack in Barry, Bryie and Yurpa. Barry and Byrie shooting goes from hot to cold during the Finals but Yurpa dominates the paint averaging 22 ppg and 18 rpg. Barry finally wins their first team championship to end LCP’s 2k24 seasons.

However my predictions playout we all know this for certain, @LCP_CHUCK is a crybaby bitch who needs to push his dinner plate away and be an actual analyst.

Game 1 – The first half stay competitive with Reign going to the locker room with a 1 point advantage. Soul carried the team with 9 points and 3 assists. The team shot well collectively from deep to keep them in the game. Yurpa’s stats jump off the page with his 12 points and a crazy 12 boards. Barry and Byrie combined for 0/7 from behind the arc but the Yupra’s dominance of the glass kept offensive possession alive to allow B&B to score 32 at the half.
The second half kicked off as a shootout until Reign’s guards proved to be a little off pushing Reign to only 9 points in the third. Fortunately for Reign, Barry’s boys couldn’t capitalize either by ending the quarter with 44 points. Reign desperately needed a consistent scorer if they wanted a change to take the first game going to the final quarter……where the hell is Sleaze?
The first minute showed nothing from either team but shitty ass basketball with multiple fastbreak opportunities wasted from not being patient and finding the open shooter. Sleaz makes an appearance going 2-2 from the line but Reign needs more than that from him. The games tied until a reverse fifi is called and Khris splashes a hash three. The rotation was solid but the defender was greedy and reached, sending him into the scoring table, 47-44. The game is tied by timely shooting from Cuzzie but their defense falls asleep and Barry walks it to basket to go ahead by 2. Another corner hit from Cuzzie takes the game to 50-49 with 2:23 left in the game. Sleaze then again scores off a missed middy from Barry putting Reign up by three. Barry’s team offensive is becoming stale but Barry is bailed out drawing contact on his way to the rack but are still down with the time dipping below one minute. A few possessions pass of poor decision making by both teams….. again where the hell is Sleaze? 40 seconds on the clock and Soul works his magic to get an open fade to drop at the free throw line increasing their advantage to three points. Barry rushes downcourt and gets an open lane by decides to kick back out to a covered Byrie for a missed three. Schlegel grabs the board with 21 tick left but wait, turns it over, Barry’s ball. Barry tries his heroics, gets open but clanks a deep right hash three. Excellent matchup but Reign creeps out a win over a extremely poor shooting B&B team that shot 3/17 from three point land. This game is a double digit win for Barry if he and Byrie didn’t break the backboard with the bricks thrown at it. They both combined for a lousy 0/13 from deep.

Game 2 – Barry’s team starting warming up in the closing minutes of the first quater hitting three consecutive threes from Barry and Byrie. Reign’s in trouble if this is allowed to continue. The buzzer sounds with B&B up by 5. Both team’s guards are trading point with Soul & Sleaze combining for 11 points and shooting 4/6 from the floor. Barry & Byrie total 14 points and shot a 5/7 from the field.
Barry & Byrie continue their hot streak scoring the teams first 14 of the team’s 16 points out of the break. Reign did what they could to stay in the game behind Soul & Sleaze’s 27 points but Reign couldn’t match B&B’s 31 points from their guards. 39-31 at the half and the game has turned in a shootout but I don’t think that will play into Reign’s favor unless Barry and Byrie cool off. The third showed why Barry’s team is the most dangerous in the league, their fast break. Little has been said about B&B’s scoring prowess on the fastbreak. No one has matched their ability to put up huge numbers as efficiently off the fastbreak like Barry has. This puts any team on their heels with only the hops of missed shots to slow down Barry’s blitzing fastbreaks. Reign weren’t that lucky. 31 of Barry’s 48 second half points came off the fastbreak. That’s insane. Barry & Byrie totaled 71…..71 points while shooting 73% from the field, 71% from three. I haven’t seen numbers that high since @LCP Chuck told me his cholesterol levels. The game end in a 87-59 blowout but Reign didn’t play bad. Sleaze shined with 35 points and 9/13 from deep but that was really the only thing of note from that team.

Game 3 – Another blowout. It’s not that Schlegel’s squad played bad but saw what happens when B&B run the break. Some games put things into perspective. This game showed that whoever decided to allow Squire to cover Yurpa doesn’t respect Yurpa’s game or is a complete dumbass. Squire was abused like a young artist looking for a contract at a Diddy party. Barry’s team once again showed why their best offense is the fastbreak. Barry consistently hits the open hash or cutter. The combination of Macho and Khris run the attacking guards flawlessly in transition. Reign needs to hit the drawing board and figure out that defense. With no real lock, Reign could see an early exit in the playoffs. I’ll say it again, Barry and his boys will be a tough out and I believe they’re top of the power rankings. The best defense against B&B is making baskets. Their fastbreak efficiency is lethal.

@BBoyslcp vs @Venom_Lcp was a thriller . Barry went for 37 as Tkog followed with 33 for Venom. Barry ultimately took the W for the game and the series after Team Venom forgot to stream. The violation of LCP stream rule had turned Venoms win into a loss making it a sweep for B&B.
