Muddy Boots have had a good first day of term. Meeting new friends and catching up with old. We have been exploring what preschool is all about.
We look forward to meeting more new friends tomorrow!
The children are having a lot of fun learning about fruit. Each day we have made a fruit salad in a big blue bowl for snack just like in our current class story.
Lots of mark making happen outdoors at Muddy Boots today. We took the easel in the garden for painting and the children found they could make use their natural environment to make marks with the tyres from bikes and scooters after yesterday’s rain.
This week we have focused our learning around the story of Jack and the beanstalk. We have enjoyed the story, watched our beans sprout and create a castle for them to grow up too. We have been acting out the story and looking for castles in the clouds.
This week we have been celebrating #Earthday. We have focused our learning around this important day. We have recycled packaging from our lunchboxes, painted a picture of planet Earth, practiced counting, looked at the inside of a flower and learnt what a seed needs to grow.
Our story this week is the beautiful story of Bear Wants More. The children have enjoyed a tuff tray to act out the story. We have been enjoying learning about bear waking up from his hibernation and learning what bear wants more of.
This week we have been exploring the beautiful adventures of the snail and the whale. With an unexpected quiet Friday afternoon, we decided as a treat to role play cinemas. The children made themselves a ticket and a snack to enjoy while watching the film.
