Terry made the right decision firing Sean McDermott.

Sean was amazing. He changed the culture and brought us out of misery. His adversity was bar none especially when it came to moving home playoff games because of snow, covid, or the Hamlin incident. He was a good person and loved Buffalo. Thats not why the Bills exist.

The superbowl is our only goal. We were 13 seconds from getting back. Sean mcdermott and his defensive scheme ruined that. And to be honest that should of been the ax right there. His mismanagement of the clock was brutal at times, kicking Fg instead of going for it in huge playoff situations. A defensive minded coach can not allow 30+ points consistently in playoff games. Having his run defense get gashed numerous seasons in the NFL.

He couldn't get over the biggest hump. I belive his coaching process was slow. I believe these moments really fuel the narrative that McDermott just couldn’t get us over to that final step, even though he built a legit consistent contender out of a team that hadn’t sniffed the playoffs in forever. (I actually give Whaley credit for that) A lot of players and fans (myself included) defended him hard, but the organization finally decided it was time for a new voice to lead the Josh Allen era, especially with the new stadium coming in 2026. It hurts, but I get why they pulled the trigger. I wish him the best and praying for him and his family. God bless Coach. You will be awesome wherever you go

Now let's go get a offensive minded coach, and let him bring in his own coordinator, and sign the best defensive mind to coach the D.
