#DidYouKnow HIV treatment can help people living with HIV achieve an undetectable viral load - meaning they do not transmit HIV to their sexual partners. People with a suppressed viral load have a near-zero risk of transmitting HIV.

In 2025, 30.4 million people living with HIV globally have a suppressed viral load. The target? 38 million by 2030.

Globally, 41 million people are living with HIV. UNAIDS latest data shows that nearly 9 million of them are not receiving treatment.

In the new Political Declaration, countries have committed to ensuring 40 million people living with HIV are on treatment by 2030.

To meet this goal, we must ensure equitable access to HIV services, diagnostics and medicine.
