A great example of the type of research our preemie cord blood samples support! The Preemie Biobank was established in 2018 in collaboration with @Pascal_M_Lavoie , and collects cord blood & placenta from deliveries <33 weeks gestation at BCWH.
A new study in @JCI_insight by BCCHR investigators Dr. @Pascal_M_Lavoie and Dr. @rkleingeltink sheds light on how newborn babies' immune system "wakes up" to deal with pathogens in the outside environment. Learn more: https://t.co/dLUr1YbfyW
