As part of our VE Day celebrations on Thursday, 'afternoon tea in a box' will be on the menu at lunch. Choose from a range of sandwiches, plus other treats & a bottle of Radnor Fizz, charged at £2.50. Please ensure your child's card has sufficient funds should they wish to buy.

What a wonderful feast we had yesterday at our Eid lunch. It was so lovely to see students and staff celebrating together and enjoying the homecooked food made in house by our catering staff. The Eid cake pops were such a big hit!
Our Eid lunch takes place tomorrow, with butter chicken or vegetable biriyani on the menu, plus samosas, naan bread & Eid cakepops. It is £2.50 and comes with a bottle of Radnor Fizz. If your child wants a lunch please ensure their card is topped up before they go to the till.
We are holding an alumni reunion on 7 July 2025. Former students, join us for an evening of laughter, memories & reconnection. Open to all BCHS school leavers from 2013-2022, the event is free to attend but places are limited so please email [email protected] to book.
Our next mums & daughters session will take place on Wed 19 March from 3.30pm - 4.30pm & we'll be making dreamcatchers at the session. It's free to attend & is open to any female relative of our students. Please email [email protected] if you would like to attend.
To celebrate Shrove Tuesday tomorrow, pancakes will be on the menu at lunchtime and can be bought alongside a main course as part of the meal deal for £2.50. Please ensure your child's card is topped up before they get to the tills.

Year 9 art student, Mysha, has won a competition hosted by the bus company @MovingPEOPLEltd to design the artwork for their buses. Mysha saw her design come to life when a bus came to school. Well done Mysha, it looks amazing!
Year 9 parents, the date has been set for our options and parents evening. It will take place on Thursday 24 April so please keep this date free, it is an important event. More details will follow nearer the time.
There'll be a special menu in the canteen on Wednesday to celebrate Chinese New Year. Students and staff can choose from chicken fried rice with curry sauce or vegetable chow mein. Both are served with prawn crackers, a fortune cookie and a bottle of Radnor Fizz.
Blackburn College is holding an interactive open event on Wednesday 30 April for any students who may be interested in pursuing a career in health and social care. The event will take place between 4-6pm at Blackburn Sports and Leisure Centre.
Some year 8 students took part in an event for Cyber First Girls. They were put into teams of four & had to tackle challenges such as cryptography & logic for the chance to be crowned cyber security champions. They qualified in the top 10 in the North West - well done girls!

Our mums & daughters club took place on Wednesday & was such a good session. Lauren and Helen kindly gave their time & expertise to new & regular mums & daughters as they participated in seasonal activities, making Christmas biscuits holiday table centrepieces.
