DEVELOPING - New Westminster police are advising people to avoid the area around 6th street between Princess and Hamilton.
Roads are closed in the area and there is a heavy police presence.
Photos from witnesses show a taxi surrounded by several three vehicles and an ambulance.
BREAKING - Heavy police presence in New Westminster.
6th Street shut down between Princess and Hamilton.
Police have not commented on the incident except to say they have closed off parts of 6th Street and Seventh Avenue.
BREAKING - Janice Abbott has resigned from her post of CEO for Atira Women's Resource Society.
Abbott has been at the centre of the ongoing BC Housing audit scandal along with her husband Shayne Ramsay, former CEO of BC Housing.
#Canucks to host 2023 Training Camp in Victoria, BC from September 21 to September 25.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has requested military assistance to help combat the 98 active wildfires in the province.
Smith announced a one-time payment of $1,250 for every adult displaced by fires for 7 days or more, with an added $500 for each child under the age of 18.
