@sekeresandprice A+ for me is getting out more than you could have going in. The Canucks have some loveable pieces that could allow them to do just that. In your scenario it's a good draft (B+) but not A+
@sekeresandprice Can I pick neither? With the soft Free Agent Market, Talent acquisition is at a real high, and so far it's been crickets. Missing out like this makes it hard to be excited.. Maybe they make a move and I change my tone, but not looking good
@sekeresandprice Can't be spending what limited assets we have to acquire him, take a chance he is available at Free Agency. I'm voting no, but that could become a yes if he is a UFA
@sekeresandprice I voted yes, because we truly don't know what his ceiling is, his last year in the BCHL he would barely register as a 4th line Centre. He's not a lock at any position, but I don't think his ceiling can be topped at 2C either.
@mattsekeres One thing to note, and I haven't listened to the show today yet, but it was the former regime who was anti coach/kid relationship. As far as I can remember neither the Sedins or RJ have rejected that premise
@sekeresandprice I voted yes under the caveat that this is a last chance. Can RJ and Manny reach him, probably not, but if they can the franchise is much better off.
@sekeresandprice Both were terrible, I gave the ever so slight edge to Benning, because atheist Rutherford convinced FA to try a rebuild, emphasis on TRY
@sekeresandprice I voted yes, as it was discussed earlier, there is often a starter GM and a finisher, so I'm ok with Rutherford staying on and promoting Johnson likely neither will be around for the finishing portion of the rebuild
@sekeresandprice I voted no, but my fear is, FA agreed to finally do the rebuild under JR. What happens if Rutherford leaves, does FA abandon the rebuild?
@sekeresandprice I can see why people would pick owners/management there is a lot of blame to go around, but at the end of the players like Garland and Hughes were paid to do a job, if we just stopped working and expected to get paid, we'd be out on the street.. I picked the quitters themselves
@CanucksArmy I'm giving a D. I'm hard pressed to think Boston thought that price was too high. So did the miss out on a better return by asking too much, and did they panic by accepting this offer
@RinkWideVAN@mattsekeres The one thing I take issue is with you guys talking about Buium and how he won't replace Hughes. The deal was 4 for 1, he doesn't need to replace Hughes on his own. Rossi needs to out perform his predecessor at 2C, Ohgren at 4th Winger to close the gap between Buium & Hughes
