B.CLIP Batch 9 session by Dr. Harini Santhanam, Head of the Department of Public Policy at MAHE Bengaluru, delved into the topic of "Social Readiness Assessment for Planning Policies for Cities".

She introduced the concept of Societal Readiness Level (SRL), a metric to gauge how prepared society is to accept and integrate new innovations, concepts, or technologies. Dr. Santhanam emphasised the shared responsibility of both leaders and citizens in protecting the environment and the broader ecosystem. She also highlighted the critical importance of striving toward the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations to ensure a sustainable future for all. BRUHAT BENGALURU MAHANAGARA PALIKE (BBMP) BUDGET 2024-2025
➡️In the year 2024-25, the BBMP receipts from its own resources including opening balance will be Rs.8,294.04 Cr., while Central and State Govt. grants will be Rs.4,077.59 Cr. Thus the Total Receipts is Rs.12,371.63 Cr.
➡️Total Expenditure is Rs.12,369.46 Cr.
➡️The BBMP’s major projects have been prepared under the Brand Bengaluru concept and the budget for the year 2024-25 has been prepared on these lines and a record sum of Rs 1,580 Cr (13% of BBMP budget - Rs 12,369 Cr) has been allocated.
