Tuesday didn't go exactly how @BCSLions_VB and @JAGVBALL hoped, but a final four appearance for both is a major notch in the belt for what these programs are set to accomplish in the very near future.

Final: Briarwood 3, Arab 0
@BCSLions_VB looks the part in its opening match of the state tournament. Lions roll and will be back in action in the semifinals this evening.
🏐 Final: @BCSLions_VB 3, Arab 0. (25-20, 25-19, 25-13) (Class 6A Quarterfinals)
Briarwood saves its best set for last and Helen Morrison sends the Lions to the semis! They had to endure a tough test at moments but passed with flying colors.
End of Second Set: @BCSLions_VB 2, Arab 0. (25-20, 25-19)
Julie Roberts ends a set that Briarwood by and large controlled, especially on the offensive side. Knights are having their moments but the Lions are a set away from the semis.
End of First Set: @BCSLions_VB 1, Arab 0. (25-20)
Briarwood started and finished strong, ending the set by winning the final three points. Lions look like the better team but Arab’s extremely competitive.
Good afternoon from the Birmingham CrossPlex, site of the high school state volleyball tournament.
Three @UnderLights365 teams in action today, with @BCSLions_VB in 5A, and @HWDVolleyball and @JAGVBALL in 6A.
Winners in the opening round advance to the semis this evening.
End of Second Set: @BCSLions_VB 2, Jemison 0. (25-11, 25-18)
Helen Morrison puts away a second set that was much closer than the first, but one that the Lions controlled down the stretch nevertheless. One more set win sends Briarwood to state.
🏐 Final: @BCSLions_VB 3, Citronelle 0. (25-8, 25-7, 25-11) (Class 5A South Super Regionals First Round)
Easy work for the Lions as they get a step further than they did last year with a first-round win in dominant fashion.
Briarwood won its second-straight area championship with back-to-back sweeps over Central-Clay County and Sylacauga, putting the No. 1-ranked Lions back in super regionals for the fourth-straight year.
