CPD is currently working on closing the intersection at Dick Rd and Genesee St. due to flooding. It is also reported that there is flooding along Transit Rd. Going to be very difficult to navigate until the waters recede.

The 33 expressway is currently closed between Genesee St. and the 90 due to flooding. CPD currently closing sections of Dick Rd and Union Rd due to flooding.

At this time all tornado warnings with the WNY area have expired. There are still active warnings further out east.

There are reports of multiple possible tornadoes that touched down in the WNY area within the last hour… including near Medina, Byron, and Alexander. There are indications that the one near Medina could have been significant, especially for the NY area.

The tornado warning east of Buffalo has been extended until 830 pm and now includes parts of Wyoming Co inc Attica out towards Geneseo.

CONFIRMED TORNADO east of Buffalo, New York southeast of Medina and southwest of Albion.

Classic supercell and radar is detecting lofted debris (the blue splotch).

This is north of Interstate 90 about to cross Highway 98 north of Elba.

Lots of calls out in Genesee County right now. Power lines, trees, and telephone poles are down across the county. Expect many closed roads if traveling in the area.

There is potential for significant severe weather in the WNY area today. The primarily risk is high winds, but the chance of tornadoes cannot be ruled out. We will be monitoring the situation and providing updates from scanner sources if it does turn into something significant.

Travel ADVISORY is beginning for all of Erie County starting at 11 AM. Scanner is indicating numerous trees and wires down throughout WNY at this time. The snow has just started to move into the area.

Town of Tonawanda accident with injury 290 Eastbound at the South bound Niagara Falls Blvd exit ramp. There was a car in the ditch an EMT stopped to help and another car crashed trapping the EMT's leg under the car tire. Vic is conscious and alert.

One detained at Dave and Busters for this fight, another detained in Cheesecake Factory for criminal trespass.

PD reports remaining group from the Dave and Busters area is walking off mall property at this time.

The Galleria has a new strategy in place this year, with security and/or police stationed at every entrance. So far all ejections have been for violations of the parental escort policy and there hasn’t been a fight within the mall - just in the parking lots.
