All of the parents involved in this study reported that the VFSS experience was helpful in their understanding of their child's feeding difficulties - if clinicians are keeping the parents fully involved and informed it sounds like VFSS can be a very positive support #bcuSLTjc

@BCU_SLT_JC I like how VFSS shows a clear view of the swallowing phases & there’s no discomfort for the child involved, but it’s not representative of the child’s typical eating and drinking experience #bcuSLTjc

@BCU_SLT_JC VFSS captures a quick snapshot of one swallow in a controlled environment. It doesn't account for the social and environmental elements of a meal time. Would be interesting to get an OT's input on this #SLTJCQ3 #BCUSLTJC

@BCU_SLT_JC I think they potentially would be less open to explore quite sensitive topics. Even though it’s about ease of access, these sorts of conversations would benefit from a face-to-face interview for sake of rapport building. #bcuSLTjc

@JessicaSmillie_ That's true, it's been a shame not to see so many of these practices in person this year due to Covid-19!
