Still a vital civic duty and fascinating experience. Impossible to have a democratic society without having citizens serve on juries.

@momshieb @davidwade Does the fact that so many of the frontline workers in education are women impact how unimportant school infrastructure is to so many taxpayers, politicians, etc. If it were mostly men, would it be the same?

In my 20+ years experience in public schools, it seems to.

Aging infrastructure. Is it cost effective to retrofit old buildings?

Many school buildings are used year-round, despite not having air conditioning. My 60 year old building was used all summer without A/C.
