@SonRebell Missing a lot of info (runes/points/bfs/card advantage) but in this vacuum, I'm looking for two things: Can I force a commit, can I develop irelia for succesful holds. You might be able to push vex, maybe with pyke to force a large commit or just vex w/GA and reuse her next round
5*-5 At Milwaukee, could have done better for sure but also had some crazy variance at some points. Probably will change my deck a bit too for next time.
Nasus 2-1 (best of Nas)
Akali 2-1
Irelia 1-2
Draven 2-1
Irelia 0-2
Rengar 1-2
Leona 1-2
Ezreal 2-0
Bye*
Azir 1-2
Leona, again no defy I also had a crazy draw streak. 1 drake in hand already. Stacked deck: (Stellax2, akali); discipline draw: stella; Turn draw: scuttle; Scuttle: scuttle; Scuttle: scuttle (3 in a row!); Scuttle: DD. That's 7 units in a row in a 12(-1) unit deck GG!
Some of the stories: Vs Rengar, I had a really good hand. Fyc, akali, boots, zhonya. I go fyc, zhonya/akali... Game is pretty good I hold/gank every turn. He triple thrills me that game and I get 0 defys/RtW. Probably winnable with 2nd carry (irelia) or some hidden tide hold.
Matchups:
R1 🎲W/W - Kennen Miracle* (new player, + missing cards like RtW).
R2 ✖️W/W - Nasus (1st best of Nasus!)
R3 🎲 W/L/T - Rengar (1st best of zed!)
Top 4 🎲W/W - Jayce Aurora
Top 2 - Split with the Rengar from R3
I'll post decklist after this weekend
Just finished top 8 at the #Riftbound Ottawa Showdown with Pack Ezreal, losing to @Prismaticismism
Deck profile video with tournament recap coming out Soon™
@Mikkelgck Aurora in general, we have so many tools to make it interesting. SC/stella/flash/charm/boots/defy. You can generate advantage and score fast for few resources. Baron/punch is the one thing that makes it hard for us. Jayce is also dependant on targetting. Post side we get akali.
2nd in @RunesAndRift triple win-a-box today. List highly based off of @Caravaggio_HS's ideas. A few changes for my playstyle. I'm 90% convinced I should completely cut tentacles, but I need to test rek/viktor properly. Matchups in replies once I figure out how
@DelMcfly@RunesAndRift@Caravaggio_HS Akali side: she competes with other units. If you have stella / irelia out she's not as useful. The power also slows you down. She's best in control typically. It's easier to find space post side usually I find.
@DelMcfly@RunesAndRift@Caravaggio_HS FYC is a very versatile card. Ocean drake is situationally good, alternate carry / strong bounce effect. Used to run mindsplitter, but both are early cuts for sideboard. Treasure hunter is bad, FYC and disciplined play solves runes. I like mournful, but I valued consistency.
@Pandawan0000@Caravaggio_HS I just made a post with the list if you'd like. I did a few minor changes, I do run shroud main for example. Weird card but found myself happy to have it in many games. Tentacles is the opposite where it feels like it should be good but never happy with it (could be using wrong)
Top 4 in the runes and rift tournament today, tried out a new Irelia list (it was bad)
Up From the Deep is unbelievably bad idk how people run this, Steel Paws not great either, going back to my friend Ocean Drake
Bcat also on our FYC Irelia variant getting 2nd
