We are delighted to share International Higher Education #116, our Autumn 2023 issue. #IHE116@bclynchschool@BCisGlobal
In this issue, we pay particular attention to Latin America, focusing on a number of key issues for the region, including questions around institutional autonomy, academic freedom and the politicization of science.
We also highlight the debate around “employability” and the ways higher education works alongside the labor market—and we hone in on the field of higher education research, looking specifically at research based in Muslim societies and the challenges to peer review related to the field’s rapid expansion.
Rounding out the issue are contributions focused on the academic profession, international students and virtual internationalization, among others.
As always, we aim to represent a diverse range of viewpoints and perspectives from around the world.
Happy reading!
Philip G. Altbach, Hans de Wit, Gerardo Blanco, Rebecca Schendel and Chris Glass (Editors)
