@juliathelast @ieatmypigeon No apols needed 😊 Because they do it! I.e. use English words wrongly, as German ones, conjugating English verbs “in German”, all kinds of things. And then use them wrongly when speaking English: Try explaining Germans that a “beamer” is actually a “projector” in English, ahhh…

@ieatmypigeon @juliathelast That’s the fate of English, adopted and in the process “adapted” everywhere - it’s the same in German, where the use of English words is ever growing and way too often they are used in a German way/as a German word, i. e. wrongly. Drives me mad because they think it’s right!!

The term Artificial Intelligence is wrong. It did not fall suddenly from the sky. It's human intelligence and anything that might be wrong with AI is wrong with HI. AI is a chance to make HI better. Because it holds up a mirror to humans so we see all the things we got wrong.

Random observation. When you're involved in writing (localisation/transcreation, copywriting etc) you see a LOT of TOV guides. And - sorry to all the oh so unique brands - essentially, they're all the same, throwing around a forever repeating selection of buzzwords...
