To end gender based violence we have to abolish the police - and in their place build new systems and structures that actually keep us safe. Learning how to intervene, and then actually intervening, in police actions is something we must all do everyday.

‘this is not universal’. No two experiences are the same, they are individual and personal. Support given should represent that. individual support for each individual experience.

These are just some differentiations we’ve made but this shouldn’t be our responsibility. Demand schools to educate young people on consent in every type of relationship. We deserve to know more, be aware and kept safe. What does consent look like to you?

Yesterday, a group of teenage activists & survivors from S. London took a bold stand. To create a vision of the world they dream of standing up & doing what is right by survivors, approaching harm with Transformative Justice.
Will you support @BCountUK in their campaign?
transformative justice is the ONLY way we will de-root gendered violence from the world we live in. this new guidance SO exciting and important - alongside this we need to see MORE FUNDING for support services and the social justice groups who deliver TJ workshops 🔥🔥🔥
Phenomenal work from @BCountUK - having worked in the sector for years previously, seeing case after case of students being denied justice, I am hopeful for the future.
This is the 16th Day of action from us. But 16 isn’t enough. We will keep fighting. We do this for ourselves, and for all survivors that have had services fail them. We won’t be silenced #EveryBodyCounts
We are taking the power into our own hands. In 7 days time, every school across the country will have a copy of our guidance and a blueprint of how to respond to harm in a way that promotes safety, care, and justice.
