For everyone cheering on Mamdani in New York, recall history. Over hundred million died under Socialism and Communism in the 20th century—not even counting those who died under the German National Socialist Party (the Nazi’s).

And, even if you ignore history, consider economics and psychology.

Socialism/communism can never work, and free markets/capitalism work well because humans by nature are lazy, greedy and envious.

Free markets put those traits in opposition: if you don’t work, you don’t get stuff and, worse, your neighbor gets more.

Socialism aligns laziness and greed: you get the same whether you work, so why bother working. And, the elites get the fruits of all the labor by selling socialism to the masses through envy.

How many times have we heard Bernie Sanders rant about “billionaires,” but imagine how long you could survive off the fruits of his entire lifetime’s labor.
